(Ananas Sativus L.). - appears to be a well-known exotic fruit. In particular, the pulp of this fruits containing 12-15% of sucrose, organic acids (mainly citric), nitrogenous substances, alkaloids and the enzyme bromelain - a mixture of proteolytic enzymes, close to gastric pepsin enzyme, is used for medical purposes. Pineapple is rich with potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, ascorbic acid, contains ferrum, copper, vitamins B6, B3, PP, provitamin A. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous effect, stimulates the activity of the motor-evacuation function.
It is recommended for dietetic nutrition for gastro-intestinal diseases, kidney diseases, cardiovascular system, anemia, inflammation of the tendons and sports injuries.
