(Centaurea cyanus) - asteraceae (compositae) family. They are used in diuretic tees, especially for edema of renal and cardiac origin, as anti-inflammatory agent, and as antispasmodic for liver diseases. Flowers in the form of infusions and extracts are used for nephritis, nephrosonephritis, cystitis, urethritis as a diuretic agent and for liver and biliary tract diseases as a choleretic agent.
