Kanuka (kunzea ericoides) is a huge shrub, reaching a height of 15 m, with narrow leaves and white flowers, which is why it is called “white tea tree”. Grows in New Zealand. From its leaves by steam distillation, yellowish essential oil with resinous smell is obtained. Due to the high content of monoterpenes (up to 65%), has analgesic, anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effects. It contains 10% viridiflorol. It prevents congestion of the lymph and blood in the veins, promotes rapid healing of wounds, strengthens connective tissue, normalizes substance exchange in muscles. It has strong antibacterial and antimycotic effects.
