Phosphorus is necessary for microorganisms and highly organized forms of life – humans and animals. It takes part in nearly every chemical process of the body: in the metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, in brain and cardiovascular activities, in formation of a number of hormones and enzymes, in construction of all cellular elements of the body, and enters the skeletal structure.
