Description
Anise (Pimpinella anisum L.) is a plant of parsley family (apiaceae). It is known for very long time and is widely used both in the folk and conventional medicine. The mellow anise fruit and anise seed oil are used treatments. The oil contents anethole (80%), methyl chavicol, anisic aldehyde, anisic ketone, anisic alcohol and anisic acid. The anise fruit preparation and anise oil have the expectorative and mucolytic effect, accelerate the evacuation of expectoration, as well as have the bactericidal, diuretic, uroseptic and relaxing effect. Anise reduces flatulency. The fruit are included into the composition of lactation stimulating teas. It is used for the diseases of upper air passages, bronchitis, pneumonia, pertussis and chronic tonsillitis.
Usage description
It has a favorable effect on the neurodermatitis, weeping dermatitis, skin itching and pyodermia. For the dietary supplement products it is used for the diseases of upper air passages, bronchitis, pneumonia, pertussis and chronic tonsillitis.
