The seeds of black caraway contain steroids, campesterol, sitosterol, stigmasterol, cholesterol, alpha-spinasterin, alkaloid nigelin, essential oil, triterpene saponins, coumarins, thymoquinone, lipase enzyme, fatty oil, which is composed of oleic, myristic, linoleic, linolenic, eicosadienoic, petroselinic acids. It is included into the composition of Nigenola.
