(Prunus domestica L.). Fresh fruits contain sugar (up to 16%), organic acids, pectin and coloring substance, tannins. It increases peristalsis and improves digestion. It has a mild laxative and diuretic effect. The fruits are used for food.
Constipation, diarrhea, intestinal atony, chronic gastrointestinal diseases, liver diseases, biliary dyskinesia, chronic enterocolitis, chronic gastritis, gastroduodenitis, dysbacteriosis. It is recommended as appetite stimulant.
