Boswellia sacra (Frankincense Aden) is an evergreen that can grow up to 5 m high. It has a very thin bark that peels continuously. In spring, small 5-petalled flowers from, from which brown to red capsule fruits develop. The frankincense tree is native to dry, stony areas in Northeast Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. Benefits: antiphlogistic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial.
