Irish Moss is a kind of red seaweed growing on the coast of Ireland. It contains pectin substances - carrageenans, rich in mineral salts (iodine, bromine, chlorine) and organic acids.
It has a moisturizing effect on the skin due to the water retaining capacity of carrageenans. It creates a thin film on the skin preventing the evaportation of moisture. It has antioxidant effects while nourishing the skin.
