Monosodium glutamate

Permitted food additive intended to intensify the taste sensation due to the increase of sensitivity of taste receptors. It is included into the list of raw materials in GOST (All-Union State Standard) 18487-80 “Dinner canned food for special consumer. Technical specifications”, GOST (All-Union State Standard) 50847-96 “Food concentrates of first and second quick-cooking dinner courses. Technical specifications”, GOST (All-Union State Standard) 7457 “Canned fish. Pastes. Technical specifications". It is registered as a food additive (E621). In European countries, it is marked as MSG or monosodium glutamate in English. In recommended amounts it poses no danger to human health.
