It is received by cold pressing of dried coconut pulp. It contains lauric (50%), myristic, palmitic, caprylic, oleic, capric, stearic, linolenic, arachidonic, capric fatty acids. It is notableforhigh resistance to oxidation, degradation and rancidity. The products made on its basis have a longer shelf life. It is used, for instance, as a filler, a source of fatty acids in the BAAs.
