Seeds contain fatty oil (glycerides, palmitic, stearic, oleic, arachidic, lignoceric linoleic fatty acids), organic acids (citric, tartaric, chlorogenic), carotene, protein, carbohydrates, tannins, phytin. It normalizes cholesterol metabolism in the body, reduces its deposition on the blood vessel walls in arteriosclerotic vascular diseases.
