Zeaxanthin

As we age, the retina changes and the blood supply in the eye also steadily decreases - our visual performance and visual acuity decline. Interspersion of the nerve tissue inside the eye in the choroid slowly recedes. The retina's fine structure degenerates and as a result, eyesight and visual acuity continuously deteriorate.Zeaxanthin, along with lutein, is found in the yellow spot, Latin: macula, of the eye’s retina. These form the macular pigment that protects against harmful wavelengths of light as well as free radicals.
