Description
(lat.Hypericum) - genus of hypericaceae family plants of the malpighiales order. It contains hypericin, so that it is used for the preparation of non-prescription herbal antidepressants used for light forms of depression, psychovegetative anxiety disorders. The antidepressant effect of St. John's wort is stipulated by the capability of its active substances to inhibit the reuptake of serotonin and other neurotransmitters, as well as by the influence on melatonin exchange. It is included into the composition of relax.
Usage description
Treforms depression, fear, qualms, insomnia, irritability, fatigue, asthenoneurotic condition, coronary heart disease, cardiopsychoneurosis, biliary and gallbladder dyskinesia, hepatitis and cholecystitis, gastritis with reduced secretory activity, flatulence, enuresis, kidney disease with fluid retention.
